On March 14 at 10 a.m., exactly one month after the Parkland shooting, thousands of schools participated in a national walk-out to honor the victims and tighter gun restrictions, including George Mason. Those who decided to join made their way to the football field where a 17 minute vigil was set up by the Students Demand Action club- one minute for each student.  Students gave speeches calling for an end to gun violence and read eulogies for each Parkland victim.
