Fall musical auditions begin September 17

This year’s fall musical is the popular, gangster-era piece “Chicago.” The show is one of Broadway’s longest-running ever featuring show-stopping song and dance. Below are the details of the casting notice for all those interested in trying out.
The show will run November 15-17.

Auditions are September 17 -20
SEPTEMBER 17 , 2018
Please audition on September 17 if you have not been in a musical at Mason before. Prepare 16 bars of a song from a musical to sing a cappella and a 30 second monologue. Come to E149 at 3:05 on Monday, and wait to be called into the auditorium to present.
SEPTEMBER 18 , 2018
Dance audition. Everyone who is auditioning must attend the dance audition. Don’t worry if you are not a dancer, come with an open mind and do your best. It’s not about discovering who can already dance; but who can follow directions and take risks. Come to E149 at 3:05 and await instructions. Please wear dance or athletic clothing.
SEPTEMBER 19 , 2018
Please audition on September 19 if you have been cast in a Mason musical previously. Returning company members only need to prepare 16 bars from a musical. If you are planning to audition on the 19, don’t forget to come to the dance audition on the 18th. Auditions will be in E149 at 3:05.
SEPTEMBER 20 , 2018
Callbacks. A callback list will be posted in E149 during Mustang Block. If your name is on the callback list, plan to attend the callbacks starting at 3:05 in E149. The cast list will be posted during Mustang Block on September 21.
